Naples, Italy. "The Birth Place of Pizza"
Naples, also referred to as Napoli is a large city in the south
of Italy with a population close to a million people and is credited for
inventing the food you and I both hate that we love… PIZZA! <3 The city is
full of culture, popular traditions and the great spirit of being from there and
having the identity of “Napoletanio” make the people truly unique and
welcoming.
Napoli is a city full of activities, attractions and loads of touristy things to do for the entire family such as; visiting the cathedral,
Pompeii ruins, Capodimonte Royal Palace and Museum, Castel Dell’ovo and of
course, eat pizza.
There are many sites to see around Naples, but nothing will
make you fall in love quicker and happier than the food there if you are a true
“foodie.” Imagine having your thanksgiving feast, only a daily basis and
walking around carrying a food baby. There are no words to describe the variety
of food, tastes and experiences. From the Pizzas, to the pasta, to the wine, to
the coffee, to the desserts, to the meats & cheese. (You might actually
learn how to pronounce “Mozzarella” correctly after speaking with an Italian)
Even if you have tried all these things before, I suggest you open up your
taste buds to new world of food in Italy.
The people, energy, environment, culture of “everyone knows
everyone” and family being a major key to their community. You really will have
a memorable time in Naples and feel at home from the moment you land, till the
moment you leave.
P.S. For those of you who are fans of Spartacus or gladiator
type movies, Capua is a short drive away and worth a visit too.
